pAAVdual-sc-CMV-EGFP is used to produce scAAV-CMV-EGFP virus using AAVnerGene’s novel AAVdual production system. In this plasmid, the self-complementary AAV genome with a CMV promoter and an EGFP reporter is cloned into our novel Ad helper plasmid, mini-pHelper. scAAV-CMV-EGFP virus can be generated by co-transfection of this plasmid with regular AAV helper (pRCap) plasmids, carrying AAV2 rep gene and different cap genes, without adding additional Ad helper plasmid to supply E2A, E4orf6 and VA RNA functions.
The CMV promoter, also known as the cytomegalovirus promoter, is a widely used promoter sequence in molecular biology and biotechnology. It is derived from the immediate early promoter of the cytomegalovirus and is commonly used to drive the expression of genes in a variety of experimental and practical applications.
